💘 What I Read
My go-to romance genres are:
Romantic suspense
Cowboy/western romance
Historical romance (esp. Regency)
I’m open to exploring other subgenres, but I will not accept books with the following:
🚫 Hard Passes:
Naïve or “too stupid to live” (TSTL) heroine
Graphic violence, gore, or torture
Mild action scenes or fight moments are fine, especially if they’re written with humor or used to move the plot. But if your book includes detailed torture, bone-snapping, or anything overly brutal or disturbing, it’s not for me.
Bullying or abuse of any kind
I’m okay with past abuse being referenced, or if a character is escaping an abusive relationship early on in the story. But active, ongoing abuse is a dealbreaker.
Cheating; OW/OM drama
Over-the-top alphahole behavior
(If any of these show up, it’s an instant DNF from me.)

⏳ Other Things to Know
This is a hobby, not a profession. I read in between a full-time job, family time (hi nieces!), and a very aggressive TBR pile.
I prioritize ARCs over backlist titles, but reading and review timelines are never guaranteed.
I buy most of the books I review.
I reserve the right not to review a book if I don’t finish it, don’t have much to say, or feel it wouldn’t resonate with my readers.
If I do post a review, it will always be honest and respectful, even if it’s not glowing.
